2026-03-14: We're so back - new stuff!!!

Who would've thought that limiting your time spent on social media would actually make you more motivated to work on personal creative projects? Weird! Anyways, I have actually been working on the game again and by golly gosh am I having more fun than I was the first time. I honestly think the smooth frame-by-frame animation was my biggest source of dread when I started, because it felt like I couldn't change anything once I made it, otherwise I'd have wasted so much time. Now, it's super easy to change out individual frames, because most of them are duplicates, or at least they can be easily edited. Because of this, I finally finished a full (basic) suite of animations for Cyber Squid! Not all of them, obviously, but those aren't used enough to warrant something right now. I also got bored of making stuff and wanted to start programming so bah. Here's a video showcasing some of the new stuff. A lot of it is code, so it doesn't look *super* visually different, but there's some new animations in here! I think!

It's feeling more possible as time goes on, which I think is a good sign. I'm at least having fun! Which I think should be the main thing.
