A Beach
2025-08-28
Yet another slow week. It's the week before classes start up again, and I'm kind of dealing with that. I also got sick. So that has been a pain. I don't even think I opened the Godot file this week lol. BUT! I'm working on stuff! I finally made another Tileset for another part of the game I've had in my head for a while: the beach where you crash.
After polling my friends and family, Lavender water won out over turquoise. Looks more "Alien", if that makes sense. This beach is actually already pictured on this website, in the Gallery tab! One of the few paintings I've done.
As well, I've been soliciting some character designs from friends of mine. Given the game takes place on an alien planet home to all sorts of different aliens from all over the universe, I didn't realize I'd have to design just so many aliens. Luckily, I have some friends who were willing to help me out! The following 4 guys were designed by my friends: Kyana, Taha, Daniel, and Kat. Thanks you four!
I'm actually thinking of learning Blender, so that I can model and then TRACE the fight animations, instead of frame by framing it. That would speed up my process, A LOT. Also, I've been thinking of making a game with another friend of mine, a Game Jam type thing. He would deal with the coding, luckily. I hope to get some more stuff done to where I can show it in the context of a game soon. Thanks to anyone who reads these! I've added a Guestbook to my Homepage, so feel free to say hi!
